It’s mouthing. You should go on Amazon and look up some puppy books. Best to get a lot of chew toys so he can have something to chew on. Get him in puppy school, I know you have a local one and they will teach him some manners. Then obedience school. However, I don’t know about boxers but I know my dog was pretty mouthy even afterwards (play biting, something I don’t like) so you may or may not want to teach your dog it is absolutely unacceptable for him to mouth humans.

If he does it to you while playing, he is just getting overexcited (like a kid that has had too much sugar). Say no, firmly, and stop playing until he calms down. When you start to play again, when he starts to mouth again, repeat “No” firmly (don’t yell-they’re very sensitive) and stop playing (hide your hands or whatever it is he is mouthing if necessary). He is displaying a natural behavior and you’re training (teaching) manners, like you would a kid. Be patient, be consistent, it works.

Question? I bought a 3 1/2 year old female boxer and took her to the vet and she got her shots and a clean bill of health…But she has a very unpleasant odor coming from I think her nasal area. She also does not ever drool. Are these normal characteristics of this breed or is she unique and the only non-drooling stinky boxer out there? If anyone could help me and answer any of these questions I would be so greatful. Thanks

Not to often, if you have a snack and he sits and watches you eat it, they will drool

in my experience (multiple boxer owner) gender is not an issue, they are a very social dog and mix very well with dogs and humans alike, dont hesitate, owning a boxer is a great adventure

Hey, as a multiple boxer owner, you may have an answer to my question.
Why are some boxers really huge and tall and others thiner and smaller? I have seen very significant size differences in this breed.
Is it my idea? Is it a gender issue? Something else?
Thanks!

would you recommend a boxer over a doberman pinscher for an active person in law enforcement with a wife and a 8 year old daughter.
