This is exactly why people shouldn’t get puppies. Take the time or don’t get a DOG, I hate irresponsible people.
P.S. if you were informed before buying a dog, you would know to leave her in there until she quiets down and reward her for being quiet, let her out and give her a treat.

ok dumbass the dogs like slepping in the crate you put them there to keep them out of trouble. understand and it is the easy way but it works.and you only give them treats when they are being trained. you wouldnt punish a dog then give it a treat unless your stupid or somthing and it does teach them much u could teach them to go to their crate when they nedd to go outside to do their duties as some say.and again if you think youd feed the dog when your punishing it u must have been on E or durr

Are you putting the crate in a “family oriented spot”? Maybe the room you hang out the most in? Leave the door to the crate open and make it fun and comfortable for her. Toys, blanket, a treat etc. If your putting her in the crate and leaving, she correlates the crate with being alone or temporarily abandoned. It has to be a “cozy fort” , that she can retreat to.

Also, “Crating duration guidelines” as per age of puppy, should be as follows:
9-10 Weeks Approx. 30-60 minutes
11-14 Weeks Approx. 1-3 hours
15-16 Weeks Approx. 3-4 hours
17 + Weeks Approx. 4+ (6 hours maximum)

Crate the dog only at night during bedtime or when you leave but when there are family members at home you shld. let them out.

Can someone please help me.
I’m purchasing a 2 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi from a breeder.
The problem is that i work 3-4 days a week from 10am-6pm (8 hours). Should i buy a really large crate? What is the best advice for a situation like this?
Thanks.

i would say dont buy a crate that is to big because then the dog has more room and may be able to use it as a bathroom as well. get it just large enough for the dog to be able to stand up and turn around comfortably in, and so they can do this when they are older and a little bigger also. You may want to “section off” some of the crate if it is bigger than the puppy needs at the moment, you could even use cardboard to do this! Hope this helped, and good luck with the new puppy!
