What is the best small breed dog?
My boyfriend and I plan to get a dog in the near future and want a small breed. I like pugs and he likes miniature pinschers. What are some good small breed dogs? We don’t want a dog that is loud and needs grooming. So what do you recommend?

Sounds like you want a Boston Terrier. Pugs shed like no tomorrow so you need to keep that in mind. About the best way to deal with the shed is to use a pro groomer real regularly.
Min pins are very entertaining BUT they are one of the most stubborn dogs on the planet to housebreak. Very frustrating for me. Seems as though my Bostons were never this difficult. Also Bostons shed so little they can be considered wash and wear. One thing to bear in mind is that they do not tolerate real cold or real hot so you will need to be careful not to overheat them in the summer and may need doggy clothes for the winter.
EDIT: Also, Boston Terriers don’t do a lot of barking and if they do bark at all, it has a low pitch so it doesn’t pierce your brain.
