Where can I get information about dog breeding?

I have a male Brittany Spaniel and was wondering if you get payed to have the dogs have intercourse or you get the puppies to sell yourself afterwards.

Keep posting your questions eventually someone will give you the answer your looking for. BTW dogs are not money making machines. Neuter your dog!!!!

It's PAID not payed and you don't need to post the same question 3x.

    Don't breed - it's that simple.

Most breeders have a contract with the details written out. But the real question is if your dog is breeding worthy. Have all health tests been done? Have you shown and subequently won titles to prove the dogs worthyness? What is your purpose for breeding? My suggestion is to work with an already established breeder before starting a breeding program. It takes a lot more than throwing two dogs together to get healthy, well bred puppies.

STILL clueless????? Why don't you do some RESEARCH!!!!
Pimping you dog may sound like a money maker, but it isn't.

  5. puppylady Says:

The most common agreement is a stud fee , usually about half of what you sell a puppy for , or pick of the litter.

  6. Jase Says:

Unfortunately, you could do it either way. You can pimp out your dog to make money, while killing dogs in shelters and being a murderer. It's people like you who see dollar signs when they look at their pet who are making it harder and harder for shelters to keep up. You should be responsible and say, "No, I won't make my dog a male prostitute, I'm going to support my local shelter instead and not make money off my dog." And it's 'PAID,'
    not 'PAYED.'

I see that you have already asked this question twice about 10 minutes ago, but clearly you didn't get the answer that you wanted. Get a clue. People have already told you that you shouldn't breed your dog. If you don't already know the answer to your qustion, you have no business in breeding your dog. Don't be one of those people who are in it purely for the money or the experience. Think about what's best for your dog.

I am trying to understand what you are asking. But I think you are asking if you can get paid to stud out your dog. The answer is yes but it is the price of a puppy .. You do not get the litter yourself to sale lol that is funny.

No, you do not get the puppies. The owner of the females is called "Litter Owner". You get either your stud fee or pick of the litter (which you can either keep or sell).

Obviously you have no idea what breeding entales. Do yourself and the breed a favor…. DON'T BREED!

How funny, are you needing money? You breed him and he will never be the same.He will be just like a real man,and will do anything to get a puppie. He will wiz on everything that gets close enough including people, furniture etc.marking "His Territory"If you want to turn him into a monster breed him.Sorry the truth hurts.Happy New Year

  16. Dane Lover Says:

There is a stud fee when you stand a dog at stud, however a dog should never be stood at stud unless they have an impeccible pedigree, have obtained working titles and/or conformation titles, are a good specimen of their breed and meet breed standard, have passed health tests (not just simple vet exams) and are at least 2 years old.
Responsible people will not breed theri females to a stud who doesn't meet the above.

I have seen that you have ask this same question 2 other times and dont you know how to read cause their have been alot of people answer your question, No you dont get the whole litter to sell your self, the owner of the female dog have ownership of the the litter and they sell the puppies,,, you on the other hand do get pick of the litter to keep for your self or you can sell it,, or you can get paid as a stud fee and you only get the price of ONE puppy that sells,,, you need to have a contract for the female's owner to sign and here is another suggestion is to have the owners of the female pay a non refundable deposit untill the pregnancie is confirmed by a vet,, also i would suggest that you go along with the female's owner to the vet to make sure that they dont con you and say that the breed didnt take,,, I hope this has helped and please do some reserch on breeding before you decide to stud out your dog,, if you have any more questions about studing out your male feel free to email me and i will try to help you as much as i can,,, email me at hunterdog_34@yahoo.com
